New: If you have topics that should be discussed at the spring meeting of the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property and AIPPI and other IP organizations please send your proposals by Monday 6 February to postmaster@aippi.ch.

The Federal Institute of Intellectual Property is offering seminars on changes in US Patent Law, see below.

Dr. Donatella Fiala has taken over responsibility for the secretariat of AIPPI Switzerland. She may be reached at postmaster@aippi.ch.

The former secretary, Dr. Lorenza Ferrari Hofer, is the designated president of AIPPI Switzerland and is expected to take over this responsibility after the General Assembly 2012.

The Swiss Federal Patent Court will start its activities on 1 January 2012. Regulations according to Article 20 par. 3 lit. a PatGG have now been published and may be found on the home page www.bpatger.ch (in German). Corresponding translations into French, Italian and English will be added later.
